Travel Costs

1. Any work defined here but not limited to that which is asked to perform whether examining site conditions or consultations or actual work performances, whether or not resolutions are made will be charged an initial fee of $70. For each time interval of one-to-thirty minutes thereafter a charge of $35 will apply, whether this interval was used fully or not. Example: After the first 30 minutes a labor fee of $105 will be issued and thereafter $35 for each time interval of 30 minutes whether used fully or not. Current BCI labor is generally figured at $70/hr/man plus materials at cost plus 20%, but in view of the present economic climate, contact us to see if this labor rate still applies. This does not include travel or toll charges, if applicable.

2. Costs for developing a contract are free up to a total contract cost of $15,000. Contracts that total over this amount have a 2% refundable* charge of the total contract price invoiced to the client.

3. Travel costs are figured per round-trip at $.85/mile outside of Marin County plus toll charges. For Marin County residents there is no traveling charge. BCI reserves the right to alter this cost-per-mile rate according to current market rates for fuel.

* — “Refundable” means that if the initial contract is accepted and signed, then this 2% charge will be subtracted from the total amount owing at substantial completion of job or final payment resulting in a contract savings. If contract is not accepted, this amount becomes non-refundable and payable to BCI.
