Robert Hansen
My passion is art and design. I’m a visual person and I love to create and re-create, which is why I ended up in the construction industry, and also why I’m good at what I do.
My love of art and design was born out of my first job after high school as a warehouseman for Disney. In 1974, I moved to New York and volunteered for a global printing organization for 10 years, which included book making, art design, and illustration. I was married by 1981 and by 1985 had moved to the Bay Area to pursue an interest in construction, first as a handyman and then broadening out by 1990 to a licensed general contractor. By 1991 my family was complete with two kids and a loving wife.
My interest in art and design has a great influence on my construction work. I am able to visualize the end results, offer suggestions for both practical and aesthetic improvements on a plan, and execute a desired project by utilizing innovative techniques. In addition, I have a knack for trouble shooting challenging situations.
In 2006, after being a sole proprietor for several years, I decided to share my knowledge with a business partner and change my business entity to Bella Cosa Construction, Inc. My partner, Jamie Rogers, is a young man half my age and twice my size. Together, we offer our clients impeccable attention to detail, care and concern for their property, a broad range of expertise, and an ability to see outside the box. Our motto is Integrity, Honesty, and Innovation and our goal is to satisfy the dreams of those we work for.
Jamie Rogers
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of learning and practicing a variety of trades in the construction industry. Some of those trades include framing, roofing, foundations, sheetrock, brick laying, tile setting, painting, plumbing, and electrical. Prior to starting my current business in Marin County, I spent a few years as a Journeyman Carpenter for the Union. And prior to that, I studied civil engineering for three years while working for a title company drawing county maps using AutoCad. All told, I have nearly 17 years experience in construction and related fields.
I enjoy construction because it affords me the opportunity to make my clients' dreams come true. When I see a homeowner smile at the end of a project, I am reminded of why I love my work. Because of my experience with a multitude of trades in the construction industry, I am able to oversee every facet of a project. I have an innovative mind and caring nature and I take great pride in my work. My clients know that their construction project is in good hands.
